Due to ongoing COVID guidelines and gathering restrictions, the NoFIRES Arson Investigation Conference: The Public Safety Response to Clandestine Drug & Explosive Labs-Best Practices and Recent Case Study Reviews has been postponed until November 3 & 4, 2021. Please be sure to save the date and join us next year at the Boylston Rooms in Easthampton, MA! We appreciate your understanding and a full refund will be mailed to registered participants.
Although we are disappointed that we cannot hold our conference in person, we are pleased to partner with the Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association to offer a professional development opportunity for our loyal conference attendees. Through a generous sponsorship from MPIUA, we will host a FREE Virtual Workshop with leading legal expert and author of the Field Manual for Massachusetts Police, Attorney John Scheft, on November 4th 10am-12pm He will discuss arson law and an update on juvenile law and procedure. Electronic handouts will be provided, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a discussion, and an optional test will be offered for IAAI certification points. We are also applying for Fire Chief Credentialing Credits and Fire Prevention Officer Credits and will notify attendees if/when we are approved.
Please consider joining us and feel free to share this training with your colleagues who might benefit from this opportunity. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or need more information.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
Loren Davine, Executive Director
